I think a good way to wrap up 2010 is to give you some Jake updates.
First, he LOVES music and loves to dance. His favorite song is OMG by Usher. It's hilarious. In the car he gets crazy in his car seat and he says "noooo" over and over to every other song on the radio until we replay OMG. He even knows a few of the words. Jake and his cousin Aaron entertained us this evening with a dance. The file was too large, so I've posted a link to the video. Just click on the link to the right of this post or here to view it. Jake doesn't say too many words on his own yet, but he'll repeat plenty of words if we ask him to. That's not to say he doesn't understand nearly everything we say, he's even knows a few sign language words.
We'll probably start potty training soon since he's aware of when he goes 'poo poo'.
Jake loves to smell the flowers when we take walks - literally.
His favorite thing to watch is Baby Einstein.
Recently Jake has starting giving bear hugs while grunting because he's squeezing so hard. I love how free he is with his affection towards people. He gives kisses, high fives and fist bumps on request and for no reason at all.
If you haven't been around him lately, Jake is such a happy kid. He's always laughing or smiling. He's brought so much joy to our life through his adorable smiles and contagious laughs.
AMENDMENT - as of today, Jan 2nd, he now climbs out of his crib. Eeek.
We had one last Christmas hoorah today with Marshall's Dad, step-mom, brother, sister-in-law and their kids. Now that Aaron and Jake are older, they play together. As you can tell from the photo, boys will be boys!
